On January 27, 2021, Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V. (referred to as "Philips") filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Central District Court in South Korea, accusing Mobicoms of selling the Soussou X3 and X3U electric toothbrush models that infringed on its design patent rights and constituted unfair competition. Sanju Sunshine was entrusted to provide legal services for the defendant. The defendant actively responded to the lawsuit and provided supplementary evidence, namely, the judgment made by a Chinese court in response to Philips' lawsuit against the defendant in China with the same patent, which rejected Philips' claims. After multiple written defenses and hearings, the court issued a first-instance judgment on August 12, 2022, dismissing all of the plaintiff's claims.
